Give us your due dates!!!!

We have a lot of ladies mentioning that they're pregnant. We're THRILLED!!!! You guys know that babies 10 days and younger is our cup of tea ;-) However, we don't know your due dates. We know babies do their own thing and they'll come when they want, but let us know when you're due. That way we can pencil it on our calendar and be expecting it!

Awesome Responses to the Survey!

We sent out a survey to our past clients yesterday and have already received some awesome responses! So thank you! I wanted to explain a few things on here in response to a few of the comments on the survey since we don't know who wrote what. Except for a few people's ;-)
1. A couple of people stated that they'd like to see us have real animals. Which we're working on for Easter! But does anyone have animals they'd be willing to lend to us? We need some tame bunny rabbits! Someone offered her's but we'd like to have a few so let us know!
2. Another person said we should have a special for adults. Great idea! That's why we're offering our Secret Nothings party this Saturday and we offer a Trash the Dress type session without the wedding dress, like what we did on the beach, but that's a great thought for a special once a year so thanks!
3. A couple of people said we should specialize more in seniors. We actually do a ton of seniors. Just booked another appointment this morning! So I guess not everyone knows that. We're working on starting up a senior site as well but these things take time ;-)
4. Things we need to improve..a)someone mentioned hours, we're as flexible as we can be. Janiece's husband gets off at about 10 minutes till 7 so we literally rush up to the studio for our appointments! We do also offer Saturday sessions (but they're booked until May) and we can book Monday day sessions as her husband is off and can watch all of our kids ;-) So when booking your sessions be sure to tell me your kiddos might not be so hot at night. Our kids are night owls so I forget about this one. b)another person mentioned that they don't like the time limits..We understand your desire to stay with us ;-) but you're still getting an hour long session, while most big companies offer you a 10 minute session. Kids don't do well with photos if they're there for 2-3 hours taking pictures. Don't worry, you won't be rushed for your next session and we don't watch the clock. But a few people have stayed for 3-4 hours (literally) and that is just crazy! c)someone mentioned that it's hard to get to the $200 minimum. That's why we let you combine orders and why we're offering special photo events through the year so be sure to take advantage of these discounted sessions! We really are trying to accomodate everyone and we have become family with our clients so we didn't want people's portrait experience's hindered because of money. So BE SURE to book these sessions in advance!!!
You guys are all great. Some of the responses were so moving! God has blessed us with the best clients and friends!
If you haven't filled out your survey please do! This is so cool and insightful! Plus it's helping us know what we need to tell people more (like that we do seniors) and what you guys are in the mood for (like couple shots)! This is fun!!

More Beach Pictures

Jemma picked out some pictures from her TTD (Trash-the-Dress) Session from the beach. So here are a few of her favs! Enjoy :)

Happy Snow Days!

Well, as much as I HATE the snow... we took the plunge and took pictures in it anyways! All of you who think you can't do outdoor photography in the dead of winter... THINK AGAIN! Here are just a few from our photo session yesterday... if you want to see more (and the same photo with different effects), then log onto our website and go to the "CLIENT" tab, and type in "snow" as your password. Happy looking :)

Secret Nothings Party This Saturday!!!

Hello Ladies!

Several of you have been interested in our Secret Nothings party! However, most of you have also had problems getting your friends to join you. So we're coming up with a solution. We really do think this will be an awesome experience and a great gift so we don't want anyone to miss out on it.

We are going to hold a joint portrait session this Saturday, January 31st at 3pm. We're inviting any women interested in this special session to come meet one another and hold their sessions together. Don't worry, we're putting up our huge curtain to section off the space so no one will see you in your nothings!! This way you can meet each other, talk about your precious kiddos and then one by one go to the photography room. On this day and time only we will waive the sitting fee! And we have a special on our package deal, if 2 lovely ladies book this session then they only have to invest $75 each in artwork prints, if 3 or more ladies attend then the investment is discounted even more to $50 each. I'm sure after you all see how beautiful you look in these portraits you will have no issues getting to the minimum and you would spend that on dinner and a movie for sure. Give something that will last! If you are interested then email us back no later than Thursday January 29th. This will be inspiring and empowering! To see examples scroll down this blog.

Welcome to the world Miss Aubree

Isn't she precious? She was born 7 days ago (well.. actually 8 today but her shoot was last night), and her [very] proud grandma called from the hospital to book her session! This family was so easy to work with, they were game for anything... and we got some AMAZING shots! I'm SO excited for them! So here is a [very] small sneak peak of what we captured!

Miss Stefanee

I'm catching up on all my posting today (Whoo-Hoo!)

We love this family... seriously they are so precious to us! Isn't she beautiful? Happy Birthday girlfriend! (and sorry...again.. that this post is late!)

So send everyone out tomorrow and tell them to stop by our booth. We're setting it up today so it'll be a good, long day for us. Also, Ben is starting to offer that cinematic look which looks like the old projectors. It's totally awesome! It's very cutting edge and "in" right now. We're ALL having way too much fun!

Mr. Reynolds

Ok.. so I'm late posting(again). Sure hope this doesn't become a habbit! Honestly, we were up till 5 am working on the site, then back up bright and early working some more! We are pushing to get it up ASAP!

So Mr. Reyonolds turned the big ONE! I tried SO hard to narrow down my favs to 3 pictures, but I simply couldn't! We had TOO much fun... and you have lots more in your gallery that are WAY to precious for words! We are trying SO hard to have these all up by his party so you can pull them up and show them off to all his friends and family!

So first.. don't you adore these chairs?! It looks like a giant chair for him. It reminds me of the three bears for some reason :)

And can you tell what his birthday theme is?

Augh... the power of Micky! He has the power to captivate us all!

And since lately we have had all girls.. lets hear it for the boys! The overalls he is showcasing belonged to his older big brother.. who is now 6!

And finally.. the cake! Isn't it awesome?!

Honestly I think he liked the balloons better than the cake!

But in the end the the fact that he was 100% BOY totally showed through!

2 Huge things going on!!

Hey guys! We got our site and are SO excited!! We're working on fixing it all up and it should be posted later this week. So stay tuned for it!
Also, Ben and I will have our wedding video business, Christian County Video, at the Metropolitan Bride Show this weekend. So if you know anyone getting married send them out to our booth at the Expo Center downtown. And be sure they tell us that they read it on the blog ;-) We're super stoked about this. We're offering a $650 booking incentive if they book their session with us on Sunday! That's HUGE!!! Our booth will be the black and turquoise one. Ben's working super hard to put all the finishing touches on our video website too. So it's like computer central around our homes right now!

Miss Brodie

I can't believe Miss Broide is turning ONE! They grow so fast!

I know Mom is super excited to see these so I'm posting 4 :) They turned out so cute... even though she wasn't big on the cake (can you imagine... chocolate cake with REAL frosting and she didn't even want it!) Hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

Also.. check out our new logo! Jemma came up with it, and I think its super fun! I REALLY like it!
C.T.P. (Captivating Time Photography). We are also writing our old logo under it (depending on what we write it on), and it looks great! The logo printed on your artwork will still look the same (the old logo style) for now, but this is something new we are using for other business things.

Keep looking for our new website... we are working hard on it and hoping its up this coming week!

Secret Nothings- A Signature Event

We are looking for 5 strong, secure, beautiful women to host one of our Secret Nothings Parties!

We do mostly children's photography. But we also like to specialize in other things as well. We really enjoy a challenge and break from the usual. We thoroughly enjoy seniors and trash the dress or anniversary shoots. So do we have a very unique and fun experience coming up!! We really think marriage is very important. We know that it's God ordained but that it takes work to keep one survivin' and thrivin' so we wanted to help out with that area.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, why not go out on a limb and do something unforgetable while steaming up your marriage? We're offering special boudoir sessions until Valentine's day!

So what exactly do they entail? Well they're secret and in your "nothings"! These are very tasteful, artistic and fun shots in your lingerie, negligee, or jewelry. These are top of the line, nothing demeaning here. They're for married women who really want to WOW their honey! We just did one of these for a Christmas gift and her husband of 20 years was absolutely thrilled. She said it greatly helped their marriage get out of a rut. We're looking for 5 women to host these parties with 2-5 of their best friends. You'll all sit in our front lounging areas to laugh and talk the night away while one by one you can go behind our curtain to take your secret session!

Grab a couple of girlfriends, a bottle of champagne (or sparkling grape juice) and take the plunge. There's no better time like the present. And remember "Sexy is being confident no matter what your size"

Have Equipment - Will Travel!

Janiece and I were talking, while setting up our cool new Ikea chairs in the window, about how much we like doing on location shoots. I don't think people really get this. We are not your typical run of the mill studio, we like to be unique and different. We thoroughly enjoy bringing out personalities and taking photos with significant buildings, locations and props. People have been traveling from Republic and then from places south of Branson. We do travel. We don't want to discourage using our studio but to be honest we really like going out of it. Our creativity is more free to roam when we are pulled into a new location. I know it's January and quite cold outside but we really enjoy those outside shots. This winter we've already done a Heritage Shot in freezing weather in front of an awesome barn and old John Deer, and we just did some across the street from the studio. So bundle up, there are some amazing outfits right now.. coats, scarves, gloves, leg warmers, boots, the list is endless and so adorable. And if you live a bit from us, we're willing to meet you in Springfield or Branson. Plus when you have an outdoor location as opposed to our studio location, you'll definately have something unique and personalized to you!

Ok here's just a snapshot I took of Aybrin last year while he was helping his Daddy. It's amazing how much older he looks now!! But you can see how adorable those little hats can be. He even had a matching scarf but of course when he's just standing on the back porch he isn't really up for wearing ALL the gear I wanted him in!

Do you recognize this studio???!!!

We're now back and appealing to our more creative side! We bought these very fun chairs at Ikea, one of the best stores ever. So we decided to attract attention in Sparta, why not put these very cute things up in the front window instead of our usual photos? Yes it's kind of weird, but we're artsy people so what can we say? So if you have a session soon be looking forward to these unique and funky chairs holding your adorable kids!
We have some very, very, very cool shoot ideas coming up. We've planned out our special photo sessions for the entire year, have set some pricing on doing distance traveling for those who want their photos in say, St. Louis or the Bahamas would be nice (hehe)! And we can't wait to get our new site!! So everyone stayed tuned in here on the Studio Channel!

Casey-Inniger

First I must apologize again for being late. Had I not had so many computer issues these would have been posted a few days ago. I promise your album will be done soon!

We had so much fun with this one... if you don' t believe me just look at the pictures! Guess we are still in Florida mood because we felt the need to brave the 30 degree weather for their shoot! Glad they were good sports. I simply love getting out of the studio!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

First off, I'm so sorry this post is SO overdue! Long story short, my computer crashed... AGAIN, right before we left for vacation. So all the pictures I was planning to get posted while away didn't get done :( Once we got home, we got it fixed... only for it to crash... AGAIN! So... just this morning I got everything fixed, and back in its place ready to swing into full gear again!

So first things first, we will NOT be changing our name. Looks as though everyone really likes our name, so it will remain the same. We MIGHT look at eventually condensing it (maybe www.captivatingtime.com or ctp), but if we do that it will more than likely be in the distant future.

So this is probably going to be the longest post ever. I'm going to give you a run down of some of my very favorite pictures from the beach. This does NOT include Jemma's selections of her family, so as soon as she picks those out we will be posting those as well. These are some from my kids and of course our model Jonna. There are only a few here (even though I took over 3,000), I don't want to bore you!
I will be posting more on my personal website as well, but it won't be for a few days- I've got other things that are begging for my attention first! But if your interested you can come back and check my personal website (http://strublekids.blogspot.com) in about a week. They will be more like snapshots though.. but still fun and cute.

So here we go...
The first day we got there we did a photo-shoot with Jonna. As if the girl isn't gorgeous enough, the sky was amazing. I was SO happy with the results. Here are a few...

Then... DRUM-ROLL please....

The ever talked about 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, picture!!

For those of you that don't get it... our kids are ages 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 until
Jan 27! Right in time for New Years! It was the official countdown for us! So here they are.. not posed, just totally candid-captured just as they are!

See Eleesia sticking out her tongue?! Did we say candid or what?!

Then some pretty ones of the beach. Mom got us amazing condos. We were on the 7th floor, and the entire back of our condo was all glass overlooking the ocean. Our bedroom had a walk-out balcony and we slept with the doors open every night so we could hear the ocean waves. It was breathtaking!

So here are a few from Adam and I's Trash the Dress (TTD) Session. The water was SO cold... but we got in! Jemma did great!

This one is our ultimate fav! It deserves a big space hanging our our bedroom wall- don't you think?

Then some of my kids. First.. Essa. Of course "Puppy" went to the beach! I wonder if people truly believe me when I say she does not eat, sleep, or pee without her puppy? I would have titled this one "Have puppy.. Will travel"

And one of her dancing on the beach. I really like this one :)

And some of Eleesia...

I REALLY REALLY like these silhouettes! I have one of Enoch too, I think I'm going to make those big and hang them up in my bathroom. Currently I have black frames, and their feet molds (identical impressions of their tiny feet) and what goes better with bare feet than sand and water? I'm so excited!

So here is one of Enoch too...

And Essa sleeping on the beach (um.. sorry that would be her sleeping on her puppy) on Christmas day while the other kids were in the water. Seriously can you imagine a better place to sleep? Ocean air, ocean sounds, and the cool sand under your toes?

Then we did some of the girls. I think they are too cute!

Then we were headed home. We took the extra long way home and stayed in Atlanta (we HAD to go to IKEA ! If you haven't been.. the closest one is in TX, 6 hours away but SO worth it. We are already planning our next visit to this awesome Swedish store) Then we went up through the Smoky Mountains. It was covered with waterfalls...

... and pretty trees covered with moss. Wish we could do a photo-shoot there. I have so many visions in my head!

And then some of the great Smoky Mountains.. although they weren't very smoky the day we went. Still beautiful (of course) but a little disappointing...

We stayed all night in TN, then drove home the next day. This is Nashville, Jonna wanted a black and white cityscape to blow up and hang in her room. I'm glad we were able to fill that desire before we made it back home...

That about raps it up. Looking back, I didn't give you one of Enoch's sweet little face! Sorry... I will post some to my personal blog- he was having way too much fun playing in the ocean!

So with that I will leave you one of Asher in the Smoky's. I REALLY like this setting. Do you think we could tear down that big castle and bring it home as our photo prop?
