Name Change... 3 days to Post a Comment!

We are very seriously considering changing our name... seeing how our name is WAY too long! We are going for something (obviously) shorter, fun, and shows how we work (we are ALWAYS barefoot, unless we are wadding 6 foot tall weeds :) ) So..this is what we have come up with....

Option #1

"The Barefoot Sisters"

We like it- we are always barefoot, and we are sisters. The negatives- it has nothing to do with photography and may not show up on google searches.

Option #2

"Barefeet Portraits"

Once again, like it due to the barefeet part, and it at least states that they are portraits. That helps. However, does everyone know how to spell "portraits"? That seems to be a hard word... I'm just learning which is REALLY sad, seeing how this is what I do :)

Option #3

"Barefeet Artwork"

One of the personal favs. We are constantly advocating that we don't produce your mundane portraits you can get from those walk in photography studios in the mall.... instead we create artwork you will treasure forever and can proudly display on your wall. The negatives... is it too confusing that its artwork instead of portraits/photography?

Option #4

"Barefoot Artwork"

Pretty much the same as option #3... just another variation.

Option #5

Suck it up and get over it girls.. keep the same name.

Great because we are already established under this name. We have the shirts, cards, brochures, all business stuff done. However, IF we are going to change our name, we need to do it now before TOO many people know about us. AND.. we write this ALL the time and it gets quite annoying! We didn't even think about the SUPER long title until we started writing it 500 times a week :)

So... we want as many comments as possible. Lets see how many comments we can get in the next 3 days!!! Help us out on this one... we have a lot of loyal customers out there and your opinion matters so now is the time to show it! Its SUPER easy to leave a comment, just click on the "Comment" button under this post and type it in. You can also choose to be anonymous too! Then click submit and your done! Easy as pie!

What do you think... Option 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Santa's Coming Saturday!

Time has really flown. Santa's coming to the studio tomorrow! He'll be there from 2 to 4. To see more details you can scroll down the blog to the info and examples we put on here earlier. We're waiving the sitting fees on this day and offering our Faith Package. It'll be fun! Downside is I've now lost my voice so I have no idea how we're going to make it through tomorrow! Everyone say a prayer.

Proof for Ms. A

You guys proof this crop and shoot me an e-mail.

Some Recents

Yes.. we have been working! Very hard actually. So the blog has been neglected because we are TOTALLY covered up... but I just wanted to post one from one of our recent sessions!

Gearing Up for Christmas

... So here's the scoop. We did a family photo shoot with our entire family for our Christmas Cards so we thought we would share! Every single person in this photo is absolutely vital to this business! Without all of them, this business would cease to exist. So here is the whole clan Captivating Photography's style...

And for our more traditional viewers... a right-side up view of the world...

So here's the breakdown. First we have the Girls. In the center is our wonderful Grandma- and our awesome Mother. They are both so much love and support.. from watching kids to consulatation- these women are absolutly wonderful.

Then we have the boys. Our great Dad, and wondeful husbands (who feed our kids and put them to bed when we are still at the studio at 11 pm or up till 4 am editing pictures)...

Then of course we have our georgous sister Jonna, who is always up for being our model! She is awesome at coming up with poses and ideas for shoots!

And our individual families. First Jemma's...

Jemma, Ben, Aybrin, and Asher

Then mine...

Janiece, Adam, Enoch, Eleesia, and Essa

Then it wouldn't be complete without a couple individual shots. We didn't do individuals of everyone, but I adore this one of Asher...

And when we were all packing up, I caught this one of Essa in nothing but her undies, and of course, her beloved "Puppy", which she won't let go...
